April 23, 2013 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Tucson Padres News Release

Sean O'Sullivan hit a grand slam and pitched seven innings to earn a win in the Tucson Padres 8-6 victory in Fresno Monday. O'Sullivan's grand slam was the first of the season for the Padres. He was the first Tucson pitcher to hit a home run since August 19, 2011 (Jeremy Hefner in Nashville). The Padres have won six straight games.

After three scoreless innings, Cody Decker put the Padres on the board first with a two-run double in the top of the fourth. Four batters later, O'Sullivan's grand slam extended the Padres lead to 6-0.

Roger Kieschnick's triple to right field in the bottom of the fourth brought home the Grizzlies first run of the game. Fresno added two runs in the sixth to cut Tucson's lead to 6-3. The Padres got one run back in the seventh when Daniel Robertson scored on Decker's single to right field. Robertson reached base on a single to start the inning to extend his hitting streak to ten games.

Two home runs in the eighth inning from Kieschnick and Johnny Monell put the Grizzlies within one run. Decker produced his fourth RBI of the game in the top of the ninth with a solo home run over the left field wall.

Miles Mikolas sealed the win in the bottom of the ninth with his third save. O'Sullivan went seven innings and allowed three earned runs on eight hits, while striking out four and walking none. Michael Kickham was charged with his second loss for Fresno after allowing five earned runs in five innings.
