Orioles Name Bundy Pitcher of the Month

Frederick, MD - Frederick Keys right-handed pitcher Bobby Bundy has been named Pitcher of the Month for July in the Orioles Minor League System by the Orioles Player Development Department.
Over six starts in the month of July, Bundy went 4-0 with an ERA of 2.11. On July 18th against the Salem Red Sox, he tossed his first complete game of the season and second nine-inning complete game of his career. In his final start of the month, Bundy threw seven scoreless against the Potomac Nationals en route to his 11th win of the season.
Through 20 starts with Frederick in 2011, the Owasso, Oklahoma native is 11-5 with an ERA of 2.75. Currently, Bundy leads the Carolina League in wins, is sixth in earned run average, and is tied for fourth in strikeouts with 100.
Bundy represented the Keys at the 2011 Carolina/California League All-Star on June 21st in Modesto, California. Additionally, he has been named Carolina League Pitcher of the Week twice this season (May 16-23, July 18-25) and was honored by the Orioles in May as the organization's top pitcher of the month.
Selected by the Orioles in the eighth round of the 2008 MLB First-Year Player Draft, Bundy spent the entire 2010 campaign with Class-A Delmarva in the South Atlantic League. Bundy led the Shorebirds in ERA, innings pitched, and strikeouts.
Along with Bundy, former Frederick Key, LJ Hoes (2010-11), was named Orioles Organizational Player of the Month for July. Over the month, Hoes hit .349 with six doubles, four home runs, and 21 RBIs for Double-A Bowie. The Bowie, MD native also stole seven bases in July.
