Opening Act Announced for ZZ Top Concert

ODESSA, TX - Dos Amigos Concerts and the Odessa Jackalopes announced today that Mean Gene Kelton & The Die Hards will be the opening act on December 9th when legendary rock band ZZ Top performs at the Ector County Coliseum.

Mean Gene Kelton & The Die Hards are a southern rock band that formed in 1992. The band is comprised of Gene Kelton, Ed Starkey and Ted McCumber.

Tickets are still available for the concert, which starts at 7 PM. They can be purchased by calling the Jackalopes' office at 432-552-7825. Tickets may also be purchased at Dos Amigos in Odessa (432-368-7556), or Vision Audio in Midland.

Ticket prices are $32 and $43. Prime seating will be $53.75. All taxes and service charges are included in the ticket price.

Party Boxes can be purchased for $320 and includes 10 tickets to the show.

The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The team is currently in its 14th season in the Permian Basin.
