On-Ice Officials for 2012 CHL All-Star Game Announced

GLENDALE, AZ (December 30, 2011) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) today announced the three men that will be working the 2012 CHL All-Star Game as on-ice officials. The referee for the game will be Boone Bruggman and the linesmen will be Cory Piche and Kyle DeMaggio. It will be the first CHL All-Star Game for each of the three officials.

The 2012 CHL All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Prescott Valley, Arizona at Tim's Toyota Center with the game's format pitting the host Arizona Sundogs taking on a team of CHL All-Stars.

Bruggman is working his second season in the CHL and his fifth season overall, the Wenatchee, Washington native has also worked games in the American Hockey League, the ECHL, the Western Hockey League and the United States Hockey League. Bruggman was selected to work the CHL Playoffs last season and in 2010, worked the USHL All-Star Game.

Piche is just 22-years-old but is working his third season in the CHL. The Cornwall, Ontario native has worked some games in the American Hockey League during past seasons and worked in the CHL Finals last season. Prior to joining the CHL, Piche officiated youth and junior games while in college in Ottawa.

DeMaggio is a rookie in the CHL and is working just his fourth season as an on-ice official. The Rochester Hills, Michigan native played junior and college hockey before becoming an official. Prior to the 2011-12 season, DeMaggio worked with the USA Hockey Officiating Program and the CCHA.
