Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, proud affiliates of the Florida Panthers and San Antonio Rampage, announced on Friday that they have signed three players, now added to their roster. The Bees have signed blueliners Craig Lineker (lin-a-ker) and Mike Wilson, along with forward Phillip Ischi.
Lineker suited up for the University of British Columbia alongside Bees center Brandon Campos over the last four seasons. The 6'2 d-man finished the season with the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL. Previous to his college career Lineker played for the Chilliwack Bruins, Calgary Hitmen, Saskatoon Blades and Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League.
Wilson joins the Bees from the European ranks having played for Starbulls Rosenheim in Germany this season. Prior to that, Wilson played for Victoria and the year before with Worcester of the American Hockey League. In total, Wilson has played 85 games at the AHL level. Wilson played his junior year with the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL.
Phillip Ischi, a 5'10 forward, joins the Bees after having played three games with Las Vegas last season. Ischi spent training camp with the Quad City Mallards. Previous to returning to North America, Ischi played three seasons in Switzerland after his final junior season.
The Killer Bees are in action tonight against the Arizona Sundogs at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Puck drops at 8:05 tonight and fans can follow the game on 956sports.com and CHL-TV.
