Olivier Labelle Loaned To Providence

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Olivier Labelle has been loaned to the Providence Bruins in the AHL. In separate transactions previously completed, the Royals (i) activated forward Bryan Ewing from the 7-Day Injured Reserve; (ii) transferred forward Ben McLeod from the 3-Day Injured Reserve to the 7-Day IR; and (iii) placed defenseman Steven Kaunisto on the 3-Day Injured Reserve. This marks the first call-up of the season for Labelle, a fourth year pro from St. Eustache, Quebec, who has played eighty-eight career AHL games. In fifty-two games with the Royals this season, Labelle is tied for the team lead with twenty-three goals (23g-16a39pts) and leads the team with 152 penalty minutes.

The Royals return to action tonight (Friday, March 26, 2010 @ 7:05 pm) when the team travels to North Charleston, South Carolina, where they'll face the South Carolina Stingrays The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 6:35 pm.
