The Dodgers have lost four of their last five road games, with the four defeats by a total of five runs.
Last Game: The Dodgers offense continued to impress with a seven-run, 11-hit effort, but the pitching staff surrendered a season-high 16 hits and six two-out runs, as Memphis defeated the Dodgers, 8-7, Wednesday night at AutoZone Park. Both teams were at their best with two outs, as 11 of the 15 runs scored with two down. Down 1-0 in the third inning, Henry Ramos sent a two-run triple to right-center field, putting the Dodgers ahead, 2-1. Travis Taijeron followed with a RBI single to give the Dodgers a two-run lead. Memphis tied the game in the fourth with RBI singles by Carson Kelly and Randy Arozarena. Angelo Mora put OKC back in front in the fifth with a RBI single. The Redbirds tacked on four runs between the fifth and sixth innings to take a 7-4 lead, all of which scored after Memphis had none on and two out. OKC got back within one in the seventh when Rocky Gale and pinch hitter Wes Darvill hit back-to-back RBI singles make it 7-6. An error with two outs in the bottom of the seventh opened the door for Memphis to score another run, stretching the lead to 8-6. The Dodgers added a run in the ninth when Gale lined a triple to right-center field and pinch hitter Cael Brockmeyer followed with a RBI double, putting the tying run in scoring position. Memphis reliever John Brebbia then got Jake Peter to pop out and struck out Donovan Solano to end the game. Memphis reliever Sean Gilmartin (1-1) earned the win and Brebbia got the save.
