Last Game : The OKC Dodgers closed out their season-opening homestand and four-game series against Nashville with a 3-2 win Thursday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Nashville started the ninth inning with three straight hits, including a two-run double by Max Muncy to make it a one-run game. The Sounds had the tying run at third with one out before Sergio Santos struck out Jason Pridie. After a walk to Tyler Landendorf, David Aardsma (SV, 2) came into the game and got Andy Parrino to fly out to close the contest. Dodgers starting pitcher Zach Lee (2-0) turned in a second straight stellar outing to begin his 2015 season, tossing 6.0 scoreless innings. He allowed four hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. Nashville pitcher Ryan Verdugo (1-1) was charged with the loss, allowing one run and four hits, walking one and striking out two over 3.1 innings.

He went 5-0 with a 1.90 ERA in his first seven starts with the Aces and had a 19.1 scoreless inning streak from May 16-31. He pitched 1.2 innings against Iowa while with Reno on Aug. 21, 2014. He exited the game in the second inning after taking a line drive by Jonathan Mota off his face, although Bolsinger ultimately was unharmed.

He has struck out 13 batters through his first 12.0 IP and held opponents to one run and six hits. Going back to his first start, Lee has turned in 11 consecutive scoreless innings.

Whiff City: The OKC Dodgers pitching staff's 90 strikeouts this season are tied for the second-most in all of the Minors. (The Low-A Burlington Bees lead with 95.) The team's 10.9 strikeouts per nine innings also ranks second-best in MiLB...Through eight games, the pitching staff has struck out at least 10 batters six times and has yet to strike out fewer than eight batters in a game...Over the last five games, they've racked up 60 K's.

In The Zone: Not only do the OKC Dodgers have the most strikeouts in the PCL, but they also tied with New Orleans for the fewest walks (18). However, New Orleans has pitched 11 fewer innings. The staff currently has an even 5/1 strikeout-to-walk ratio, which is tops in the league. The next closest team is Sacramento with a 3.9/1 ratio.

Austin's Powers: Austin Barnes went 1-for-4 last night and has now hit safely in all six games he's played in, going 8-for-21 (.381) with a .458 on-base percentage.

Winning Ways : This is the second straight year OKC has started out 6-2 and it's in lockstep with recent opening month success. Oklahoma City has jumped out to a quick start in April each of the past three seasons, posting winning records in 2014 (15-12), 2013 (15-10) and 2012 (16-9).

Opening Acts : In 2014, Oklahoma City did a great job establishing an early advantage in road series, going 12-6 in the first game.

Lions Pride: For the second straight game, the OKC Dodgers' starting pitcher is a product of McKinney High School in McKinney, Texas. Although Mike Bolsinger (class of 2006) and Zach Lee (class of 2010) attended the same school, they did not attend at the same time. The duo has made a combined three starts thus far and has allowed just one run and seven hits over 18.0 IP.
