Papillion, Nebraska - Justin Bour and Miguel Rojas each hit two run home runs to deliver the New Orleans Zephyrs a 5-3 road win over Omaha at Werner Park.

The Omaha offense erupted early with a Whit Merrifield home run to lead off the bottom of the first inning. The Chasers would pound out four consecutive hits to start the game and led 2-0 after a Moises Sierra RBI single. Chesler Cuthbert grounded to third with two on, and the Zephyrs turned an inning ending triple play to bail Adam Conley out of trouble.

The Z's tied the contest with a two run shot from Justin Bour in the fourth inning. The Chasers Orlando Calixte solo home run in the bottom of the fourth put Omaha back on top 3-2.

Rojas smashed a two run home run with two outs in the sixth inning to put the Z's on top. Starter Adam Conley settled in working six innings, allowed three runs on eight hits in the win.

The Z's added an unearned run in the ninth inning to extend their lead to 5-3 and Nick Masset worked a perfect ninth for his second save.

New Orleans is now 12-11 all-time in their first road game. The Zephyrs had two home runs through their first seven games but a hit a pair last night at Omaha. The Zephyrs added infielder Juan Diaz. The 26-year-old signed as a free agent with the Marlins after being released by the Chicago White Sox in spring training. Diaz batted .278 in 131 games last year with the Zephyrs. Catcher Brandon Bantz was assigned to Class AA Jacksonville.

The Zephyrs and Omaha meet in game two of the series on Saturday afternoon at 2:05. The Zephyrs will start RH Andre Rienzo (0-1, 3.60) against Chasers RH Yohan Pino (1-0, 0.00). Radio: WMTI 106.1 FM.
