Tulsa Oilers News Release
*Homestand Starts:* The Tulsa Oilers host the Mississippi RiverKings tonight. It's the start of a three game homestand for the Oilers.
*Records: *Oilers are 21-30-3 with 45 points in fourth place in the Northwest Division.
Mississippi is 31-20-2 for 64 points in fourth place in the Northeast Division.
*Season Series: *This is the eighth of nine meetings between these two teams this season. Mississippi won the first five, but the Oilers have won the last two contests between the two teams, the most recent a 4-3 victory at Mississippi last Friday.
*Recent Action: *The Oilers followed up their win over Mississippi with another one goal road win, 3-2 at Oklahoma City last Saturday. Mississippi bounced back at home with a 5-4 win over the Rocky Mountain Rage.
*Short Stuff: *These two teams feature the top two shorthanded goal scorers in the league. Mississippi's Ryan Campbell has nine shorthanded goals, while the Oilers David Alexandre Beauregard has seven shorthanded tallies. There are five teams in the Central Hockey League that have scored seven or fewer shorthanded goals.
*Leading Streakers:* Right Winger Jeff Christian currently has the longest point streak in the league at 13 games. Earlier this season, Christina set the league high for the season with a 24 game point streak. In his current run, he has six goals and 16 assists for 22 points. Christian has also recorded points in 39 of the last 41 games. Warren McCutcheon is currently tied for the third longest point streak at nine games, with six goals and eight assists in his run.
*Next Up: *The Oilers and U.S. Cellular will present the Stanley Cup when the Oilers host the Amarillo Gorillas on Friday at 7:35 p.m. Mississippi plays at Wichita tomorrow night.
