
Thunder Adds Goaltender

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder signed rookie goaltender Adam Dekker to a five-game tryout today.
Dekker joins the Thunder from Utica College in New York, where he went 47-30-13 over four seasons with a 2,47 goals against average and seven shutouts. This past season, the 6-3, 205-pound native of Muskegon, Michigan went 9-6-1 with a .912 save percentage and two shutouts.
Following two seasons with the NAHL's Soo Indians, where he was a teammate of Thunder goaltender Bill Zaniboni, Dekker joined Utica in 2004. He went 14-4-6 in his freshman season and was named ECAC West Goalie of the Year. The following season, he started and finished all but one game, winning 12 contests. Dekker recorded a career-high three shutouts in his junior season.
