
Harrah's and RiverKings team up to Benefit DeSoto Animal Rescue Society

Southaven -- Harrah's Entertainment and the RiverKings presented DeSoto Animal Rescue Society a check for $2,000 as part of the Dashers For Donations program on Friday, February 29 at the RiverKings game.

"Harrah's Entertainment is committed to supporting the communities where we operate to help make them more vibrant places to live and work," said Valerie Morris, Regional Vice President, Communications and Community Affairs for Harrah's Entertainment.
"The Dashers For Donations program provided us a great opportunity to benefit two organizations in Northwest Mississippi who are unique in what they provide to the community, and who could easily be overlooked for the great works that they do," Morris explained.
The RiverKings Dashers For Donations program teams RiverKings sponsors, like Harrah's Entertainment, up with area 501(c)3 organizations. A portion of the funds that companies spend with the RiverKings for advertising are donated to a charity of the company's choice.
"Harrah's Entertainment is a great sponsor of ours," Gene Szucs, RiverKings Director of Marketing said. "We are very excited they were the first company to take part in this program. We were also thrilled they choose to donate to DeSoto Animal Rescue, an organization we have partnered with for several years."
