Oilers Prospects To Take Batting Practice At TELUS Field

The Edmonton Capitals Baseball Club is inviting all media to TELUS Field on Thursday, July 8 at 2 p.m. for a unique photo opportunity with the Edmonton Oilers prospects.

All 28 Oilers prospects, who are in Edmonton this week for the NHL squad's development camp, will take part in a batting practice with the Capitals baseball team on Thursday afternoon. All the big name prospects will be participating, including Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle and Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson.

The prospects will also be on hand at the ballpark on Thursday evening to take in the action between the Capitals and Tijuana Cimmarones, starting at 7 p.m. They will throw out ceremonial first pitches before the game as well.

Fans in attendance at Thursday's game will also have a chance to watch the action with the prospects. Tickets in the Party with the Prospects Zone, presented by 630 CHED, JOE FM and CISN Country 103.9, are available at any Ticketmaster location or by visiting capsbaseball.ca.

The Edmonton Capitals compete in the Golden Baseball League and are Edmonton's first choice for professional baseball and family entertainment. They currently have a 24-15 record and sit in second place in the North Division, thanks to their current eight-game winning streak.

Capitals season seats start at less than $9 per game and are available pro-rated for the balance of the season. Individual game tickets are available for just $10 every game.
