Oilers Host Steelheads Tonight at 7:05 p.m.

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

After coming off of a win (4-2) against the Steelheads last night, the Oilers will face Idaho again in their second meeting of the season and franchise history. Idaho travels to Tulsa for the first of four meetings this season- two in Tulsa and two taking place in Boise, Idaho.

CARR CONTINUES

Kevin Carr has made eight consecutive starts in net and ranks fourth in the ECHL with a 1.79 goals against average. Carr has played 772 minutes this season, owning a 7-6-0-0 record.

CHRISTIE BREAKS RECORD

Last night Head Coach Jason Christie broke John Marks', a 2012 inductee into the ECHL Hall of Fame, ECHL record for most coached victories. Coach Christie holds the title at 492 wins in the span of 13 ECHL seasons.

FIRST DATES

This season, the Oilers are getting a broader picture of the league by facing off against first-time opponents. Last week, the Oilers clashed with the Utah Grizzlies for the first time in franchise history and this week, the Oilers welcome the Idaho Steelheads into the BOK Center for the very first time. In contrast to last season where the Oilers played 69 of their 72 games against divisional foes, this season's schedule features only 54 divisional games and a total of four first-time opponents (Utah, Idaho, South Carolina, Cincinnati).

OIL DROPS

Tonight the Oilers will host their Teddy Bear Toss benefitting the Salvation Army against the Steelheads and a 'Paint the Ice Party' after Missouri's game on Sunday (12/13)... Emerson Clark ranks fifth in the league in shooting percentage with 8 goals in 29 attempts (27.6%)... Wednesday the Tulsa Oilers were assigned rookie defenseman Aaron Harstad from the Manitoba Moose... Oilers lead the league with no shorthanded goals allowed...The Oilers are 7-0-0-0 when leading after the second period...
