Tulsa Oilers News Release

Rob Hisey's hat trick in his first game as a Tulsa Oiler erased a 2-0 deficit and led them to a 6-3 victory over the Mississippi RiverKings in the Central Hockey League opener for both teams Friday night in Mississippi.

After Cam Severson and Kevin Jarman had staked Mississippi to a 2-0 lead, Hisey got the first goal of the season for the Oilers with 23 seconds left in the first period.

He then scored shorthanded at 5:27 of the second period and tipped in a feed from Mike Beausoleil to complete his hat trick and give the Oilers the lead for good. Before the second period ended, Dallas Steward scored an unassisted goal for Tulsa.

The Oilers extended their lead on goals by Aaron Davis and Jake Riddle in the first half of the third period. Mississippi's Stephen Margeson scored the final goal off a face off with just 42 seconds left to play.

The Oilers play Friday at Wichita and then have their home opener next Saturday also against Wichita at 7:35 at the BOK Center.
