HIDALGO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League look for their second straight win to start the season tonight when they travel to take on the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Game time is 7:35pm at the Dodge Arena.

Laredo picked up their first-ever regular season win in Bossier last night by beating the 'Bugs 6-1. Darryl Smith (2-13), Lance Monych (2-13) and Jeff Bes (1-23) led the offensive charge for the Bucks last night, while J.P Levassuer stopped 20 of 21 shots in net. Monych now has six goals in four career games with the Bucks (four goals in three games in '05-06).

The Bucks are looking for their second 2-0 start in the last three seasons. Laredo started the 2007-08 campaign 2-0, en route to a 10-game winning streak to start the season.

The Bucks arrived in Rio Grande Valley at 10:30am this morning after their season-opening win, while the Bees are playing their first game of the year tonight.

The Bucks will finish up their season-opening three-game road trip next Friday (Oct 23rd) at Corpus Christi.

The Bucks will open their eighth season in the Gateway City on October 24th at the LEC, with the first 1,000 fans entering the arena receiving a FREE Bucks "Believe in Blue" picture frame. The Bucks will host the 2010 CHL All-Star Game January 13th. For ticket information call 718-BUCK (2825).
