Oilers Acquire Page from Corpus Christi

The Tulsa Oilers have acquired rookie center Chris Page from the Corpus Christi Rayz for future considerations, it was announced today.

Page, 24, began the season with the Toledo Storm of the ECHL, scoring 5 points with 4 penalty minutes in 14 games. He then joined Corpus Christi, scoring 6 points with 6 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Rayz.

Prior to turning pro, the 5-9, 163-pound centerman played collegiately at the University of Vermont and at Concordia University. Page also played parts of three years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for Val D'Or and Baie-Comeau. In 138 games in the QMJHL, he scored a total of 26 goals and 78 assists for 104 points, adding 60 penalty minutes.

The Tulsa Oilers travel on the road this weekend, playing in Colorado on Friday and then in Amarillo on Saturday. The Oilers return to home ice on Friday, January 30th, hosting the Memphis RiverKings. Individual game tickets can be purchased at the Oilers ticket office, at Carson Attractions, in the Tulsa Convention Center, plus the Drug Mart locations in Tulsa, Owasso, and Broken Arrow.
