
Cullaton Scores For AHL San Antonio

LAREDO, Texas â Laredo Bucks forward Brent Cullaton was called up yesterday to the American Hockey League San Antonio Rampage. In Cullaton's 2003-04 AHL debut he scored a goal in the Rampage's 2-1 win over Utah last night at the SBC Center. Also called up was Bucks goalie Marco Emond, who did not play in the game. The Bucks are in Corpus Christi tonight. Laredo returns home on Saturday against the Odessa Jackalopes. Face-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at the LEC. Cullaton leads the Bucks and the CHL with 70 points. He has scored a team high 24 goals and is second on the Bucks and in the CHL with 46 assists in 37 games. Emond is 15-2-2 with a CHL best 2.04 goals allowed and a .925 save percentage that ranks 5th best.
The 2-1 victory by the Rampage had a distinct Laredo Bucks feel. Cullaton scored unassisted to start the scoring for San Antonio. Former Bucks player, the 2002-03 CHL Defenseman of the Year, Michel Periard had an assist on the second Rampage goal. The only goal scored by the Utah Grizzlies was potted by former Bucks forward Dave Gove.
Cullaton and Emond are expected to be with the Rampage thru the weekend. San Antonio is on the road in Houston tonight and back home against Houston on Saturday.
SPECIAL EVENTS
This Saturday night is 70's night at the LEC as the Bucks host the Odessa Jackalopes. Take a trip back in time as music from the 70's will be played. Fans are encouraged to dress up in 70's garb. Also all Military personnel can receive a two dollar discount on up to four tickets. Military identification is required and the offer is redeemable only at the LEC Box Office. The box office is open from 10 a.m. â 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 10 a.m. on game days.
