Oil Kings Swing Deal with Giants

Edmonton Oil Kings News Release
EDMONTON, ALTA. - The Edmonton Oil Kings have acquired 18-year-old forward Jesse Roach in a trade with the Vancouver Giants, general manager Randy Hansch announced Wednesday.
Roach, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound right winger from Quesnel, B.C., was acquired in exchange for a third round pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
"In Jesse, we add a forward with good size and a right-handed shot. He has the ability to play both the wing and centre, so he'll also add some flexibility to our lineup," Hansch said. "Bringing in Jesse also provides us some added depth up front."
Roach is in his second full season in the WHL. Originally selected by Vancouver in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft, Roach has played 66 career games in the WHL, all with Vancouver, posting seven goals, 11 points and 14 penalty minutes.
