Oil Kings ENMAX Pond Hockey Returns

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings are excited to announce that ENMAX Pond Hockey is back for another season. We're never sure which kids have more fun at these events. The big kids with the Oil Kings jerseys or the Minor Hockey kids out for some drills and a game with real Western Hockey League players.

The first edition of ENMAX Pond Hockey for the 2009 season will be Wednesday February 18th at 6 p.m. at the Kinsmen Community Centre located at 50 Corinthia Drive in Leduc, Alberta. Oil Kings Brett Breitkreuz, Cam Lanigan, Michael Burns, Kieran Friesen, T.J. Foster and Jesse Pearson will all be at the kick off event plus some other special guests.

ENMAX Energy partners with local hockey heroes in Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge and Calgary to face off with atom level hockey players in their own community through Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy.

This grass roots program goes to 16 community rinks across Alberta to give hockey kids a chance to learn valuable skills and play shinny with their local hockey celebrities. There are other Pond Hockey dates scheduled for Spruce Grove (Feb. 23), Edmonton (Mar. 2) and Sherwood Park (Mar. 4).
