Saskatoon Blades News Release

The Saskatoon Blades have recalled forward Jamie Crooks for the remainder of the season.

Crooks' team, the Lloydminster Tanroc Bobcats, failed to make the playoffs, missing out on the final spot by one point. A bright spot for the Bobcats was that Crooks was able to lead the Alberta "AAA" Midget Hockey League in scoring.

Crooks tallied 39 goals and 32 assists in 33 games played for the Bobcats. In 6 games played with the Blades this season Crooks has recorded 1 goal and 1 assist. The addition gives the Blades 13 forwards, 7 defensemen, and 2 goalies.

On Saturday, February 21st, the Saskatoon Blades and Canadian Cancer Society will be teaming up to support a worthy cause. The Blades will be wearing special edition jerseys with a breast cancer theme. The game worn jerseys will be auctioned off on the concourse level at the Credit Union Centre during the game between the Saskatoon Blades and Kootenay Ice. All proceeds from the jersey auction, as well as $1 from every walk up ticket will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. Please come out to the game and support the Canadian Cancer Society and their quest to help find a cure.

Puck drop is at 7:05PM and tickets are available by calling 938.7800 or by visiting ticketmaster.ca.
