Oil Kings Acquire Draft Pick from Kamloops

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings have acquired a conditional 2024 seventh round draft pick from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for 2004-born forward Shea Van Olm, the team announced today.

Van Olm, 18, appeared in 74 career games with the Oil Kings, scoring 17 points (10G, 7A), a +1 plus/minus rating and 74 penalty minutes.

In last year's WHL Playoffs, he suited up in nine games and registered one assist.

Van Olm was originally drafted by the Oil Kings in the sixth round, 128th overall, of the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft.

The Oil Kings thank Shea for his time with the organization and wish him the best of luck with his new club.

The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is Tuesday, November 15 when they welcome the Red Deer Rebels to Rogers Place at 7:00 P.M.
