COLUMBUS, GA., - The Columbus Clingstones (15-19, 41-59) took an early 3-0 lead and never looked back on the way to a dominant 9-4 win over the Rocket City Trash Pandas (11-23, 35-67) on Wednesday night at Synovus Park.

Decisive Plays: Columbus broke out early with a leadoff single from Patrick Clohisy and an RBI single from Jim Jarvis. A two-RBI triple from Drew Compton inflated the lead to 3-0 in the first inning. Rocket City reeled in Columbus to within a run with two runs in the fourth, but Columbus pulled away with another three-run frame in the fifth that featured a two-run double from David McCabe. Columbus put the game away with three more runs in the eighth inning, including two driven in by Clohisy.
