
Oakley CHL Player of the Week Announced

TEMPE, AZ (February 14, 2011) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Missouri forward Mike Berry has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending February 13, 2011.

Berry helped the Mavericks to seven of a possible eight points in a week that saw them go 3-0-1. The Kanata, Ontario native scored goals in all four Missouri games and accounted for the game winning goal in all three Missouri wins. On Tuesday, Berry ¬â¢s second period shorthanded goal was the lone score in the 1-0 win for Missouri. In Friday ¬â¢s 2-1 overtime win over Colorado, Berry struck just over two minutes into the extra session giving the Mavs the win and in Sunday ¬â¢s 7-4 win over the Eagles, Berry scored the game winner early in the third period breaking a four-all tie.
CHL Scoring Leaders
On the season, the 5-11, 180-pound forward is tied for second in the CHL with six game winning goals and he ranks second on the Mavs with 18 goals on the season and 34 points. His eight power play goals lead the team.
