Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - Fourteen seconds was all it took for the Brahmas to take a victory away at the CenturyTel Center from the Mudbugs as they recorded their second consecutive comeback win Saturday beating Bossier 3-2.

It was the Mudbugs who scored first in the I-20 rivalry when Justin Aikins scored on Brett Jaeger at the 13:46 marker on the powerplay. Still, a slow start didn't stop the Brahmas as they tied the game with their secret weapon; their PK unit in the second. Forward Tyler Skworchinski used his speed to the Brahmas advantage and shelved the puck on John DeCaro.

A tight defensive game in the third was the mantra for both teams but it was Bossier who broke out first with a goal from David Pszenyczny to regain the lead. The Texas powerplay took care of things on their end four minutes later when Justin Kinnunen took a feed from Jason Deitsch and Skworchinski for the 2-2 tie.

Overtime looked inevitable, but Texas had another plan when Jordan Cameron beat DeCaro with only 14 seconds remaining in regulation for Texas' second straight victory on the road. Jaeger stopped 38 shots for the victory in net and the Brahmas powerplay went 1 for 6 on the night.

Texas returns home to the NYTEX Sports Centre Friday night when they host the Laredo Bucks at 7:05 PM. All fans in attendance can take advantage of $1 Coke Night at the NYTEX Concessions; for tickets please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423 or log on to www.brahmas.com.
