
Bucks Host Amarillo Tonight

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League look for their second straight win when they host the Amarillo Gorillas tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Game time is 7:30pm. There will be a car show extravaganza outside the LEC prior to the game. Registration starts at 9am and ALL Car Show registrants will receive two tickets to the game. Certain car show winners will get to drive their vehicles onto the ice during the intermissions for a "victory lap". There will also be a "best burger" tailgate cook-off Saturday starting at 4pm outside the LEC. Group tickets start at just $10, call 718-BUCK (2825) to order now.

Laredo comes into tonight's game one point behind Texas for third place in the Southern Conference thanks to a 3-2 comeback win Friday night. Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel had a hat trick as the Bucks erased a 2-0 third period deficit to win in a shootout.
The Bucks snapped a three-game winless streak with Friday's victory.
A Bucks win tonight would give them five out of six points in the three-game week.
Laredo and Amarillo will close out their season series tonight as the two teams traded wins on their home ice in the first two meetings. The Bucks won 5-2 on October 30th at the LEC and Amarillo claimed a 6-3 win on December 19th on home ice.
Starting the weekend of Jan 29th Bucks will play three games in three nights in seven straight weekends. In all, from January 29th-March 14th the Bucks will play 22 games in 44 days (10 home, 9 away). They are 2-2-1 so far in that span.
Amarillo enters play tonight four points out of the fifth and final playoff spot in the Southern Conference. The Gorillas fell in Corpus 6-2 on Thursday before getting Friday night off.
