San Ramon, CA. The North American League announced today a modified schedule as the league completes its inaugural season and heads into the playoffs. Recognizing the ongoing impact of the distressed economy on the member teams, the League's Board of Governors has approved ending the regular season one week early with the final day being August 28th.

Playoffs will be expanded to seven-game series for both the Divisional Championships and for the League Championships and will begin immediately following the end of the revised season schedule. In addition, the Maui franchise has been approved to complete their seasonat the conclusion of last weekend's final regularly scheduled homestand and the Lake County Fielders have been approved to complete their season at home including games with the newly formed Kenosha County Fielders.

The WhiteWings schedule has been impacted as well. The final homestand has been eliminated from the schedule, representing only seven games lost. The WhiteWings have also now clinched a spot in the upcoming playoffs where they will face the San Angelo Colts. The seeding for the playoffs has yet to be decided with the Wings only trailing the Colts by a game and a half with 12 remaining games. Once seeding is established a playoff schedule will be announced.

Because of the shortened season WhiteWings season ticket holders will receive playoff tickets free of charge.
