Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Capitals are paying tribute to the city's former Triple-A baseball team this Friday with Molson Trappers Night, which includes the players and coaches wearing throwback jerseys, as well as a special 2-for-1 ticket offer.

The Caps host the Chico Outlaws for Trappers Night in the second game of their four-game series on Friday at 7 p.m. at TELUS Field. The team will play in their Trappers tribute jerseys, which will then be autographed and auctioned off at the end of the game.

"The Trappers are such a big part of this city's great sports history," said Capitals manager Orv Franchuk, who coached the Trappers to a pair of Pacific Coast League championships between 1995 and 1997. "It's really good to see the excitement for baseball that team created living on today with the fan support for the Capitals, and we look forward to paying tribute to the Trappers this Friday."

The Caps are also rewarding the city's most dedicated baseball fans by offering a 2-for-1 ticket deal for anyone who comes to Friday's game dressed in Trappers clothing or brings along Trappers souvenir collectibles.

In true Trappers fashion, there will also be a free post-game concert featuring Edmonton folk rock band Captain Tractor, who will also perform the national anthems. Trappers prizes will also be up for grabs with some trivia about the former Pacific Coast League squad, and fans can pick up a Trap Wrap at the concession for one game only.

"We've never performed at a sporting event before, so we're super excited for Friday night," Captain Tractor's Scott Peters said. "We're going to have a rocking good time at the ballpark. We're very proud Edmontonians, so we're proud to play for the Capitals, and for the Trappers as well."

The Capitals are the city's most affordable entertainment option in the summer, featuring Edmonton's largest patio! Flex packs are available in multiples of eight for $48 less than day-of-game pricing. Individual game tickets start at $10 in advance and can be purchased at the Capitals Box Office (10233 - 96 Ave) during regular business hours Monday through Friday, at any Ticketmaster location, online at capsbaseball.ca or via phone at 780-414-GOAL (4625).
