Roadrunners Make Trade with Colts

EDINBURG, Texas---The Edinburg Roadrunners of the North American League announced today that they have traded infielder C.J. Beatty to the San Angelo Colts in exchange for infielder/outfielder Clint Stroud.

Beatty played in 74 games for the Roadrunners and batted .326 with 13 home runs and 54 RBI. Beatty will join the first place Colts Monday night in the finale of the four-game series against Edinburg.

Stroud, the Bonham, Texas native, batted .273 in four games for San Angelo. He also played 54 games for the Las Cruces Vaqueros in the Pecos League where he posted a .359 batting average and hit 14 home runs and 52 RBI.

The Roadrunners wrap up their four-game series with the San Angelo Colts Monday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium before hitting the road for a four-game series against the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings at Harlingen Field.
