
Norfolk shuts out San Antonio, gets blanked by Hershey

NORFOLK, VA - The Admirals finished their Texas road trip with a 2-0 win over San Antonio behind a 15-save performance by Michael Leighton on December 21st. On Sunday, December 26th, despite launching 50 shots at Peter Budaj, the Admirals were unable to find the back of the net, and three power play tallies by Hershey led to a 5-0 win for the Bears.
Norfolk ends its eight-game road tilt at Philadelphia on Wednesday, then hosts Houston on Thursday and Friday.
STANDINGS
Norfolk is in fourth place in the East with 36 points (16-14-1-3), trailing Philadelphia (21-6-1-2, 45 pts), Binghamton (16-12-3-2, 37 pts) and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (15-8-4-3, 37 pts). Bridgeport (15-14-1-0, 31 pts) is fifth followed by Hershey (14-17-1-0, 29 points) and Albany (9-15-4-3, 25 pts).
