
Bruins fall in shootout

The Providence Bruins and Hartford Wolf Pack played the seventh game of their 10-game season series on Monday night at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, with Hartford taking a 3-2 decision in a shootout. The Bruins picked up a point in the standings, and remain in third place in the Atlantic Division with their 16-10-2-5 record (39 points). The Bruins are 7-0-0-3 in their last 10 games, taking 17 of a possible 20 points over that span.
Providence center Keith Aucoin notched his fifth goal of the season, along with an assist. Right wing Yorick Treille added his fourth goal of the season. Left wing Andy Hilbert added an assist, giving him points (3-4-7) in five straight games. Aucoin has points (1-5-6) in four straight.
Bruin goaltender Hannu Toivonen stopped 19 shots in regulation, and is 13-9-3 on the season.
The Bruins play their next six games on the road, beginning on Thursday, December 30, when they take on the Springfield Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The action for all six road games can be heard live on WDDZ AM-550 and online at www.providencebruins.com.
The Bruins return home to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, January 14 at 7:05 p.m. and the Worcester IceCats on Sunday, January 16 at 4:05 p.m.
