MEMPHIS, TN - The Memphis Redbirds proved victorious in the series finale of a six-game series over the Gwinnett Stripers on Sunday afternoon with a final score of 10-4.

Lars Nootbaar came to Coolray Field on Sunday afternoon ready to make history. The right fielder hit three home runs for just the eighth time in Memphis Redbirds history. Nootbaar clubbed his second of the season with a solo shot in the first, his third of the year with a two-run blast in the third inning and his fourth of the year with a grand slam in the fourth inning.

Nootbaar's three home runs and seven RBI are each the most for any Redbird this season, his grand slam was also the team's first of the year.

Burleson's three-hit game was his third straight such outing and all three of his hits on Sunday went for doubles. Burleson's RBI was his 30th of the season which leads all Redbirds.

Memphis starter Johan Oviedo (4-2) earned his fourth win of the year and second of the series with a five-inning, eight-strikeout appearance in which he allowed just two hits and one run.

The Memphis Redbirds (22-20) head back home to AutoZone Park for the first time since May 8 when the team hosts the Iowa Cubs for a six-game series starting on Tuesday, May 24 with a 12:05 p.m. CDT first pitch.
