Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Hideo Nomo will join the Las Vegas 51s for a Major League rehabilitation assignment. He will be the starting pitcher on Thursday, June 3 for the Pacific Coast League game between the Edmonton Trappers, Triple-A affiliate of the Montreal Expos, and the 51s at 7:10 p.m. at Cashman Field.
Nomo is coming back from a torn fingernail. He has appeared in 9 games for the Dodgers and has compiled a 3-5 record in 41.2 innings pitched. He has allowed 50 hits, 33 runs (33 earned), 17 walks and 20 strikeouts.
