Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
Colorado Springs, CO âDenny Stark has won PCL Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of May 24th through May 30th, team officials announced today. Stark began the season in the big leagues with the Rockies and was sent down to Colorado Springs on April 21st. Overall for the season, Stark is 4-2 with a 3.52 ERA in 8 starts with the Sox. Aaron Cook was the last pitcher to win this honor for the Sox, earning the award during the first week the 2004 season. The last time two Sky Sox pitchers won this award in the same season was 2000, when Doug Linton (May 8-14) and Giovanni Carrara (May 15-21) won the honor in consecutive weeks.
