80's Night, fireworks, Bark in the Park highlight homestand

PORTLAND, Ore. - On Tuesday, the Portland Beavers begin an eight-game homestand filled with great promotional nights, including the second fireworks show of the season and the first of two Bark in the Parks, a popular promotion that allows fans to bring their best friends to the ballgame.

The current homestand begins on Tuesday and concludes with the second Businessperson Special of the season on Tuesday, June 8, with a special 12:05 p.m. mid-day start time.

Tuesday, June 1

Beavers vs. Fresno - 7:05 p.m.

The Beavers open a four-game series with the Fresno Grizzlies at PGE Park.

Wednesday, June 2

ZENNER'S DOLLAR DOG NIGHT - Beavers vs. Fresno - 7:05 p.m.

A ballpark favorite, every Wednesday is a Zenner's Dollar Dog Night at PGE Park. Hot dogs are just $1.00.

Thursday, June 3

80s NIGHT - Beavers vs. Fresno - 7:05 p.m.

Thursday's usual fun is made even better with the addition of 80s Night. Break out the acid wash jeans, tease the hair and join the Beavers for the third game of the homestand.

Friday, June 4

FRIDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS/HONORING EDUCATION NIGHT - Beavers vs. Fresno - 7:05 p.m.

The Beavers conclude their series with Fresno with a bang with the second of six post-game fireworks shows this season ... the Beavers will be hosting honor students from the Portland School District and various Southwest Washington districts in concert with the Portland Baseball Group and Southwest Friends of Baseball.

Saturday, June 5

BEAVERS-BOYDS COFFEE BASEBALL CARD GIVEAWAY - Beavers vs. Tucson - 7:05 p.m.

The first 3,000 fans receive an official set of Beavers baseball cards before they go on sale.

Sunday, June 6

BARK IN THE PARK/OREGONIAN FAMILY SUNDAY - Beavers vs. Tucson - 2:05 p.m.

One of the best promotions of the year, Bark in the Park invites fans to bring out their canines for a great day at the park. Humans are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a dog at full-price admission ... be sure to take part in another edition of Signature Sundays with four Beavers players signing autographs one hour before first pitch (lasts 20 minutes) on the Fred Meyer Family Deck ... select kids and parents have the chance to play catch on the field prior to the game ... after the game, kids can run the bases like the pros.

Beavers vs. Tucson - 7:05 p.m.

Tuesday, June 8

BUSINESSPERSON SPECIAL - Beavers vs. Tucson - 12:05 p.m.

Take the day off work and enjoy great afternoon baseball at PGE Park as part of the second Businessperson special of the season. First pitch is 12:05 p.m.
