Nolan Ryan Added to Miracle Dinner Lineup

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Texas legend and Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, who threw more no-hitters and struck out more batters than any player in history, has been added to the Miracle Dinner Under the Lights lineup.

The first Miracle Dinner, set for Thursday, September 17 at Whataburger Field, gets underway at 5:30 p.m. Ryan's Q&A with guests, a keynote address by Astros icon Craig Biggio and the Greatest Sports Auction South Texas has Ever Seen highlight the evening. Proceeds from the event fund construction of a Miracle League Field in Corpus Christi.

Catering will be provided by the Corpus Christi Mustangs.

Ryan, the 10th president in Texas Rangers history, oversees both baseball and business operations. He joined the club in February of last year. Ryan is also managing partner of Ryan Sanders Baseball. Sons Reid and Reese serve as CEO/Founder and CFO, respectively, of the Corpus Christi Hooks and Round Rock Express.

In 27 seasons at the major league level with the Mets, Angels, Astros and Rangers, Ryan won 324 games and struck out 5,714. He pitched a dozen one-hitters and captured 11 league strikeout titles. Six times he fanned 300+, including a record 383 in 1973.
