SPRINGDALE, AR- The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are pleased to announce the release of their 2010 Texas League Schedule.
The Naturals will open their third season at Arvest Ballpark on Thursday, April 8th vs. the San Antonio Missions. It will be the first time the Naturals have opened a season at home. The season wraps up at home as well, on Labor Day, September 6th against the Tulsa Drillers.
The 2010, 70-home game schedule is highlighted by a strong weekend slate of 34 home games falling on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday dates. The most frequent visitor to Arvest Ballpark will continue to be North Division rival Springfield Cardinals and the in-state rival Arkansas Travelers, who each will visit Springdale 16 times in 2010.
Next season's Texas League All-Star game will be Wednesday, June 30th at Oneok Field, the new downtown home of the Tulsa Drillers.
The Naturals will be home at Arvest Ballpark for their popular Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 3rd with a game vs. San Antonio and Sunday, July 4th vs. Corpus Christi.
Season tickets, ticket plans and group information will be available in the coming weeks. Information about weekday promotions, giveaway nights, and the 2010 promotional calendar will be available in early 2010. Game times will be released later this fall.
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale.
