Nicholls Reassigned from AHL Hartford

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf pack, today announced forward Josh Nicholls has been reassigned to the club from Hartford by New York.
Nicholls, 23, has made 29 appearances with the Swamp Rabbits this season and was second on the team in goal scoring (10) and points (21) at the time of his call-up on December 27. He went on to collect three points (1g, 2a) and four penalty minutes in 11 games with the Wolf Pack.
A native of Tsawwassen, British Columbia, Nicholls has played 145 games with the Swamp Rabbits over the past three seasons including 53 contests last year and 63 games during the 2013-14 campaign. He led the team with 21 goals last season and ranked second on the club with 43 points. Under contract with New York, Nicholls has also skated 11 games with the Wolf Pack, recording one assist.
Prior to turning pro, the 6'2, 186-pound forward spent five seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Saskatoon Blades and collected an impressive 313 points (138g, 175a) in 332 career games.
Nicholls was originally selected in the seventh round (182nd overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
On Deck: The Swamp Rabbits continue a five-game road trip next Friday with a 7:30 p.m. puck drop against the Florida Everblades in Estero, Florida. Fans can follow all of the live action via ECHL.TV or the free Mixlr audio stream. The Official Road Watch Party Destination, Palmetto Restaurant and Ale House located at 103 E. Beacon Drive in Greenville, will also stream the game live beginning at 7 p.m. Â Â
Trolley On Over: Greenville's downtown trolley route has been extended to include a stop at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. The expanded route will operate for all Swamp Rabbits' games taking place Thursdays through Sundays during normal trolley service hours.
