Allen Americans Battle the Wichita Thunder

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans picked up seven out of a possible eight points last week, going 3-0-1-0 with a weekend sweep of the Wichita Thunder. Chris Crane has scored in four straight games for the Americans, while Chad Costello extended his point streak to seven games

Monday, January 18th vs. Cincinnati - 4-3 OT Loss
Allen, Texas- The Cincinnati Cyclones erased a 2-0 Americans deficit and eventually won the game in overtime by a score of 4-3 on Monday afternoon. The Americans picked up four points in three games against Cincinnati over the weekend.
Friday, January 22nd @ Wichita - 4-3 OT Win
Wichita, Kansas - Rick Pinkston scored his second goal of the season in overtime to lead the Americans to a 4-3 win at Intrust Bank Arena. Chris Crane scored two goals for the Americans in the victory, including a shorthanded goal to tie the score at 3-3 in the third period.
Saturday, January 23rd @ Wichita - 3-1 Win
Wichita, Kansas - Casey Pierro-Zabotel, Chris Crane and Greger Hanson all scored for the Americans, while Joel Rumpel stopped 27 of 28 Thunder shots in a 3-1 Allen victory in Wichita. It was the Americans sixth straight victory over the Thunder this season.
Sunday, January 24th vs. Wichita - 5-4 Win
Allen, Texas- The Americans exploded for four goals in the third period, including the game winner from Gary Steffes, shorthanded late in the third period, as the Allen Americans completed the weekend sweep of the Wichita Thunder with a 5-4 regulation victory. Chris Crane extended his goal scoring streak to four games.
