ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Wheeling's Zlobin fined, suspended

Wheeling's Anton Zlobin has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #550, Kalamazoo at Wheeling, on Jan. 23.

Zlobin was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for cross checking under Rule #59.5 at 10:06 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Zlobin will miss Wheeling's game at Elmira on Jan. 29.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Allen's Makowski fined, suspended

Allen's David Makowski has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #558, Wichita at Allen, on Jan. 24.

Makowski was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for slashing under Rule #61.5 at 13:23 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Makowski will miss Allen's game at Tulsa on Jan. 26.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
