Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - NHL hockey returns to the E-Center Sunday when the San Jose Sharks take on the Los Angeles Kings at 7:05 p.m.

A limited number of tickets for the game are available at www.utahgrizzlies.com, the E-Center box office, any Ticketmaster location or charging by phone at (801) 325-SEAT. The E-Center and the Utah Grizzlies expect a near sellout crowd for the game in the arena which seats 10,207 for hockey.

It marks the first time an NHL game has been played in Utah since October 3, 1998 when the Kings beat the Sharks 2-1 in overtime at the E-Center. Last year, San Jose finished with the second-best record in the NHL going 49-23-10.

Los Angeles Kings President Luc Robitaille, who also owns a home in Utah, will drop the ceremonial first puck for the game. The game on Sunday marks the final preseason contest for both teams before they meet again in the regular season Saturday, October 11 in the season opener for Los Angeles and the second game of the season for San Jose who opens up with Anaheim Thursday, October 9.

Utah native and 2006 Kings draft pick (17th overall) Trevor Lewis was assigned to the Kings' AHL affiliate in Manchester Monday.
