Salmon Kings Receive Three From Moose

Victoria, B.C. - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the Moose have returned defenseman Matt Kelly and forward Jacob Dietrich and have assigned blueliner Jordie Benn to Victoria.

Both Kelly and Dietrich are under ECHL contract to the Salmon Kings and have previously suited up for Victoria. Kelly will be entering his third season with the Salmon Kings and Dietrich will begin his first full season after being a late season addition after finishing his junior career.

Benn is a Victoria native and a first year professional who is under contract to the Moose. The 21-year-old has spent the last four seasons playing in the BCHL for Victoria with both the Salsa and the Grizzlies.

Last season the 6-0, 180lb Benn played in 60 games collecting 47 points (15g-32a) with the Grizzlies. For his junior career he participated in 172 games collecting 24 goals and 90 assists for 114 points and 206 minutes in penalties.
