Nailers Announce 2008 Training Camp Schedule

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers today announced the schedule for the 2008-09 training camp being held at WesBanco Arena from Friday, Oct. 3, to Thursday, Oct. 16.
The 14-day training camp includes 2 pre-season games. On Friday Oct. 10 the Nailers will host their long time rival the Johnstown Chiefs at 7:35 inside WesBanco Arena. All seats are just $5 and fans can purchase tickets at the Nailers office or WesBanco Arena box office. The following night on Saturday Oct. 11 the same two teams will do battle in Johnstown at the Cambria War Memorial.
The annual Red-White game will take place on Tuesday Oct. 7th at 5:30pm inside WesBanco Arena. Nailers team owners Jim and Rob Brooks will assume the coaching duties for each team. Rob Brooks will lead the Red team while his brother Jim leads the White team. This event is free to the public.
The final training camp roster will be announced on Thursday, Oct. 16, following the completion of camp.
On Thursday, Oct. 9, the players will take part in the 6th annual Wheeling Nailers Charity Golf Classic at The Robert Trent Jones Course. Players report for medicals and physical fitness testing at WesBanco Arena on Friday, Oct. 3 and then move to on-ice sessions at WesBanco Arena from 3:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Practice from 3:00 pm- 3:45 pm; Team Scrimmage 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm
Saturday October 4th
Practice from 9:40 am - 10:30 am ; Team Scrimmage 10:45 am - 11:30 am
Sunday October 5th
Team Scrimage from 9:40 am - 10:30 am ; Practice 10:45 am - 11:45 am
Monday October 6th
Team Scrimage from 9:40 am - 10:30 am ; Practice 10:45 am - 11:45 am
Tuesday October 7th
Practice from 9:40 am - 11:00 am ; Team Scrimmage 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm (Red-White Game)
Wednesday October 8th
