New Front Office Location Continues Nailers Evolution
February 8, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL)
Wheeling Nailers News Release
WHEELING, WV - WesBanco Arena isn't the only part of the Wheeling Nailers organization to receive an upgrade to a modern, state-of-the-art facility. On Monday, the Nailers front office made the move to their new home at 1100 Main Street, as they accommodate a growing demand for their product and increased success in attendance.
"We are proud to announce this growth, while offering our employees, fans and community a facility to reflect the excitement and commitment your team has to Wheeling and the surrounding region," said Nailers Vice President of Business Operations Craig Bommer.
This announcement follows several other major investments throughout Wheeling, including the multimillion dollar renovations to WesBanco Arena, home to the Wheeling Nailers hockey team, the Health Plan relocation, and the construction of the Boury and Stone Center loft apartments.
"There is something really special happening," Bommer said. "We want to continue to be part of that excitement, positioning ourselves to offer our fans and our community the best service and experience from the time they buy their tickets until the time they drive home after the game."
As the proud affiliate of the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins, the Wheeling Nailers own the honor of being the ECHL's longest tenured club. This growth and expansion comes at a perfect time, as the team prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary during the 2016-2017 season.
Ticket sales and attendance are on pace to increase for the second consecutive year, and are expected to break the 90,000 mark for the first time since 2011-12. With the new arena and a silver anniversary celebration planned in 2016-17, the entire Wheeling Nailers organization is prepared for an exciting future in Wheeling, West Virginia.
On the ice, the Nailers are 4-1-1 in their last six games, and are set to embark on a key six-game road trip, which will take them through Adirondack, Manchester, Elmira, and Brampton. Wheeling will then conclude February with three straight home contests on the 26th, 27th, and 28th. Friday the 26th is a Flat Screen Friday, presented by The Highlands and Bordas & Bordas, as well as a Frosty Friday. Saturday the 27th is Disney Night, starring Corey Fogelmanis, in addition to Pink in the Rink. Sunday the 28th is a Family Funday, in which fans can purchase McDonald's $5 kids tickets, and there will be a post game skate with the team.
The Nailers are now accepting renewals for 2016-17 season tickets, which can be done over the phone at (304) 234-GOAL, or by visiting the new office on the third floor at 1100 Main Street in downtown Wheeling.
