Corey Fienhage Acquired in Trade with Utah Grizzles

Norfolk, VA - The Norfolk Admirals announce today that Corey Fienhage has been acquired in a trade with the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for Mike Ratchuk.

Fienhage, 25, was drafted by the Buffalo Sabers in the 3rd round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound defenseman out of Apple Valley, MN has played in 47 games for the Utah Grizzlies this season, racking up 11 assists and two goals. He split the 2014-2015 season with the Bakersfield Condors (former ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers) and the Utah Grizzlies, combining for two goals and eight assists in 62 games between the two clubs.

Ratchuk, 27, is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound product of South Buffalo, NY. The defenseman was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2nd round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. After netting one goal and five assists in 24 games for the Cincinnati Cyclones this season, he was traded to Norfolk where he appeared in five games and tallied three assists.

The Admirals return home on Friday, February 12 with a 7:30 p.m. game against the Reading Royals. Ten-packs are available for purchase at the Admirals' Administrative Office inside Scope Arena.
