New Britain Rock Cats News Release

New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats announced this afternoon that their parent club, the Minnesota Twins, has traded one of their players - 27-year-old OF Joe Gaetti - to the Texas Rangers.

The son of former Twins great Gary Gaetti, Joe joined the Rock Cats in August of 2008 when Minnesota received him from Oakland via trade.

A 5'11"/205-pound product of North Carolina State, Gaetti is in his seventh season of professional baseball. A capable right-handed hitter with power, Joe has compiled a credible .284 career batting average in the Minor Leagues. He appeared in 9 games for the 2009 Rock Cats, hitting .139 in just 36 at-bats.

The Texas organization has assigned Mr. Gaetti to their Double-A affiliate in the Texas League, The Frisco Rough Riders.

The New Britain Rock Cats are the Double-A, Eastern League affiliate of the American League's Minnesota Twins.
