
Naturals Game against Tulsa on August 8th Suspended

SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals game against the Tulsa Drillers, the Double-A Los Angeles Dodgers, has been suspended tonight - Thursday, August 8th - due to continued heavy rain at Arvest Ballpark with the Naturals trailing the Drillers by the score of 3-0 with the game entering the bottom of the fifth inning.
Tonight's game will resume tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in the bottom of the fifth inning with no one on and no one out with Northwest Arkansas behind Tulsa, 3-0. Tomorrow night's regularly scheduled game will now be a 7-inning affair following the conclusion of the suspended game but starting no earlier than 7:00 p.m. Gates will open at 4:15 p.m. at Arvest Ballpark.
All tickets from Thursday, August 8th are eligible to be exchanged in-person at the Arvest Ballpark Box Office for a ticket of equal value, based on availability, to any game during the remainder of the season. Tickets from tonight - Thursday, August 8th - will not be valid for the games on Friday, August 9th unless they are exchanged at the box office for a ticket to August 9th.
The Drillers broke-up a scoreless tie when Chris Parmelee homered off Jackson Kowar in the top of the fourth inning. Tulsa then added two more in the fifth on a double-steal and an Omar Estevez RBI single before the game was ultimately suspended.
On Friday night, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals will become the Northwest Arkansas Growlin' Chickens for the remainder of the suspended game and then the middle-two games of this 4-game set against the Drillers. Tomorrow is a Fireworks Friday presented by Farm Rich with a Rally Towel giveaway courtesy of Tyson Foods, Inc. for the first 1,000 fans through the gates.
