From the Notes
Wisdom's Big Night: Patrick Wisdom hit two home runs in Saturday night's contest: a solo shot to help the Sounds score first in the 2nd inning and a solo homer in the 8th to add a needed insurance run aginst a Round Rock team that was staging a comeback. It was the second time this season a Sounds hitter had two home runs, where Matt Davidson hit two against Omaha on April 30. Nashville also totaled four home runs Saturday night, matching a season-high that was set on April 15 at San Antonio.
On-Base Machine: With a hit Saturday night, Zack Granite has tied Willie Calhoun's season-high on-base streak for the Nashville Sounds at 15 games, while extending his hitting streak at 14 games. In the 15 contests (since May 2), Granite is hitting .369 (24-for-65) with 10 runs, 2 doubles, 4 RBI, 4 walks and a .406 on-base percentage. His hitting streak is the longest among active Pacific Coast League players, while he ranks 5th in the longest on-base streak.
For the Boys: Saturday night's win marked the first Saturday the Sounds have won on this season, now tallying 1-4. It didn't help that Nashville has had two games postponed on Saturday, a April 27 contest at Iowa and a May 4 matchup versus Memphis. Looking at today, the Sounds are 3-6 on Sundays and are 5-8 overall on day games.
