Dillard last pitched on May 22 in a home start against the Memphis Redbirds. He was tagged with the loss after he allowed 5 runs (4 earned) on 6 hits and 2 walks. He struck out one batter to tie Jamie Werly's franchise record 352 strikeouts. Dillard is the Nashville Sounds all-time leader in innings pitched (599.0), wins (42), runs allowed (335) and walks (207) and is currently second all-time in games (222) home runs allowed (49). In his career, Dillard has pitched in 73 big league games and 491 minor league games. He signed a minor-league free agent contract with the Texas Rangers on December 21, 2018.

He has faced the following active Sounds - Bandy: 0-1, K; Cole: 1-1, R, RBI; d'Arnaud: 0-1; Davidson: 0-3; DeShields: 0-1, BB, K; Granite: 1-4, RBI; Ibáñez: 2-4; Tocci: 0-1; White: 0-2, R, BB, K; Wisdom: 0-1, RBI, BB.

Doubleheader Info: The Sounds and Express will "play two" today with the 12:05 game serving as a completion of the April 18 suspended contest between the two clubs. Play was halted in the bottom of the 2nd inning with Jett Bandy at the plate in a 0-1 count. No runners were on base and the score was 0-0 when time was called. The game will be a 9-inning contest, followed by a 7-inning contest for game two of the doubleheader.

Guerrieri Gets the Ball in Game 2: Pitcher Taylor Guerreri is the scheduled starter for Nashville in game 2 of the twin bill today. The right-hander has pitched in 10 games this year, all out of the bullpen. The last time Guerreri started a game was on June 17, 2018 with Triple-A Buffalo. Pitching at home against Rochester, he allowed 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits and 5 walks in 5.0 innings.
