Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Nashville, Tenn. (March 9, 2015) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has recalled forward Viktor Stalberg from the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals and activated defenseman Anton Volchenkov from Injured Reserve.
Stalberg, 29 (1/17/86), has four assists in 11 games with Nashville in 2014-15, and 126 points (60g-66a) in 324 career NHL contests since 2009-10. The Stockholm, Sweden native also has 17 points (11g-6a) in 20 games for Milwaukee this season, including a pair of hat tricks in his last eight AHL games.
Volchenkov, 33 (2/25/82), has missed the past 11 games with a lower-body injury. The 6-1, 225-pound blueliner has five assists in 42 games with the Predators this season.
The Nashville Predators, who have a 10-3-2 record versus the NHL's Pacific Division this season, take to the ice in Arizona tonight for a matchup against the Coyotes (9 p.m. CT, FOX Sports Tennessee, 102.5 The Game), the first of four road games against Pacific Division opponents. After their visit to Gila River Arena, the Preds travel to take on the Sharks on Thursday and then finish the trip with back-to-back games against the Kings and Ducks on Saturday and Sunday.
The Preds return to Bridgestone Arena next Tuesday, March 17 to take on the Minnesota Wild, the first match-up of a three-game homestand that also includes games against the Sabres and Canadiens. Fans are invited to take advantage of the special NISSAN "Two for Tuesday" deal for the Wild game on St. Patrick's Day by entering promo code "two" on ticketmaster.com.
